I admit defeat. Got about 3/4 of the back, but some parts eluded me.

Ah well. This is one of the better endings I foresaw. The other ones involved a post about how extensively a head wound will bleed. Rather glad it's this one and not the later.

yeah, and the defeat is only temporary. I'll keep trying till I get it right, one of these days.

And only five nicks, nor bad for a first time on the head. There was one moment when I was trying to use the mirrors and pressed the edge at an almost 90deg angle right in to my scalp, thankfully I caught it right away and there was no motion yet so it didn't cut. My nails took a few hits also, but the skin on my fingers escaped unscathed.

So we still get to call you Nick for the time being. Nice. But not Gusher. Good.

You are a braver man than I, sir. I am loving on the shave, but have quailed in fear at the thought of accidentally opening up my bumpy scalp, or taking off an ear.

Perhaps you should take quick, progressive snapshots of the back of your head with the phone. You can reference the pictures every few moments to help you achieve a nice, even shave. Also, the experience can serve as an excellent consecutive visual documentary for us folks at home. Though, that process does take tremendous coordination; every time I shave my skull I end up dropping the camera in the sink.
