Or like this morning, when I woke up on my own to notice the room was significantly brighter than it normally would be, and I go to check the iPhone (which is now my morning alarm clock) only to discover it had a kernel panic at some point during the night and was crashed. A simple two-button reset got it back up and running, whereupon I discovered that it was 6:30 and I had slept in by an hour and a half.
But, as mentioned above, my mornings are normally so long that even this 90 minute delay wasn't cause for much fuss and I was still able to cook some rice and boil some eggs (to add to the other food I was bringing in for lunch) and generally get ready at a reasonable pace. I did have to drive in, which is rare, but I had planned on doing so for other reasons anyhow so it wasn't an imposition. I got to work by 7:45, significantly later than normal (I'm usually wandering in around 6:30-6:45ish) but still before my official start time of 8:00.
So yeah, some bad (fscking iPhone crashed hard making me get up late), combined with some good (was still able to make tasty food and get to work on time) made for just another morning in my life.
