it would seem that wine makes me hiccup somewhat.. more so when I'm sitting up..

Today I decided I just wasn't in the mood for work, so I left there and opted to instead be in the mood for desert wines. I swung by the store and picked up some Tawny Port (learning what the keyword "tawny" means while I was at it), some Pinot Gris, and Muscat (to go with the Boutille Call I already had), and then got some glasses. I then made a nice simple dinner of buttered pasta, and proceeded to taste them and enjoy my sweet desert wines.

perhaps one day I'll have an appreciation for real wine, till then I'll stick with the tasties.. :)

I've never had desert (dessert?) wines, but the only wine I can tolerate is the sweet blackberry $3.00 a bottle kosher wine. I assume dessert wines are sweet like that?

dessert wines are usually very high in sugar content, so they tend to be quite sweet.

sugar also = breaks down alcohol into your bloodstream faster, which = drunk more quickly.

you know i'm infamous for rockin' the muscat wine right? stuff's like fruit juice. fruit juice that makes you scram and take off your pants in public.

Port and Chocolate

If you enjoy reds like I do, I suggest a port if you're having a chocolate type dessert.

Ah yes, I had a chunk of dark chocolate last night as well, and found it went wonderfully with both the port and the Boutille Call.. I don't yet like reds, or any real wine for that matter, but I've never given them a fair chance so this may change with the comming months.
