Go here and click on the "RePhotographs" section. So, some lady took pictures of New York in 1936 and published a book of them. This guy then comes along in 1997 and re-takes the exact same pictures, waiting to get the sun, season, and angle as close to the original as he can so all you see between the two is the evolution of New York.

wow.. something else..

I think it'd be great, having the older picture on the left and the newer on the right, each taking an entire page and facing one another.

Maybe he'll do that. I'd buy one. It's funny how many are essentially the same in both pictures.

I liked the ones where there's a car or person in the older picture and there just happens to also be a car or person in the newer one as well. You get to see the changing styles of fasion then as well.

Oh, yeah! You can tell this guy really worked to get as much symmetry and repetition into the photos as possible. Even the lighting/time of day is perfect.
