7:31 - the definition of demoralizing // general bitching

Previous Entry Share Flag Next Entry

When you're the only person in your house who's getting up early to go to work. Both my roommates have today off, bastards. Mah girlie has today off. Damn near everyone I know has today off.

Yet I'm at work.

And it's raining.

And I missed the Light rail by about 1 minute this morning (saw it pull away from the station when I was 'bout a block away).

And I'm tired (as usual, but it still doesn't help my mood any).

All this does not induce me to be overly eager to be here today.

They seem to not want to give me today off work either, for some reason. ;)

I'm sorry babe. If it makes you feel better, I swear I'm not partying without you. In fact, I'm sitting here in a bathrobe typing up my Nutrition homework.

*hugs*

Indeed. Though tonight you are doomed for class and studying, I suspect. A pity. I don't think I got to devote enough time inspecting how you looked in the, um, transparent clothing item I gave you for Valentine's Day. I need another private viewing. You can arrange that for me, sometime, can't you?

;)

I don't have the day off. I have just got in the habit of staying in bed until it sounds like you are done with the bathroom.

I thought you worked for an ejumukashun place

... you know ... federal holidays off?

I'm at a small-office consulting firm ... we NEVER close. There's a recharger in the back of the building for me to plug in to. (The one using the cheap ground columbian bean solution as fuel)...

...which reminds me ... caffiene time.

Oh ... I see now ...

Washington was actually born on December 30, but the federal government moved it to February because February has damned few holidays.

Just like another world-renowned figure who (when the Roman government assessed taxes throughout their domain) but due to some odd bureacratic requirement had his birthday scheduled to the end of December.

Silly bureacracies.

Hola. If it makes you feel better, I had to go to work today, too. And it sucked.
