I hope this doesn't happen

This article in The Reg reports that the US government is considering adopting the Microsoft Passport to allow access to various services.
What they don't report is how vulnerable Passport is to hacking. And not only Passport, but Microsoft products in general. The only saving grace this has is that there are too many people without technology in their homes for this to become a mandatory thing.
I don't care how easy it becomes, I'm not going to use Passport to file my taxes (and you know they will get it to that point).
