Friday Five

because it's quick and easy for me this time:
1. What vehicle do you drive? None, I ride public transportation.

2. How long have you had it? n/a

3. What is the coolest feature on your vehicle? n/a

4. What is the most annoying thing about your vehicle? n/a

5. If money were no object, what vehicle would you be driving right now? Damn good question. I mean, I really like the Subaru WRX, but I also like the social/environmental aspects of public transportation. I'd probably have a WRX for things like weekend road-trips, but I'd still use public transportation for my work commute and such.

Tonight! 19:00 (7pm) at Luna's Cafe!!

Be there, or have healthy ears. :)

the webstie. I recommend it for everyone who hasn't heard it yet. $5 to come in and watch, or you can be a cheap bastard and just kinda hang outside to decide if it's your thing. Trust me, you'll still hear it just fine. :)

I plan to have all the gear with me inside and I hope to be doing image download/conversions on-the-spot, in hopes of uploading to da gazebo the following morning.

in other news

for some reason kdeinit is peaking the cpu at between 87% and 92% usage right now. X is eating up the rest for some unknown reason.

I wonder what's going on. leaving my poor cpu at 0% idle (heh, I accidentally typoed that as ")5", shifting the wrong character).

Unlike Win, though, I can still browse the web and listen to my mp3s without issue. The only way I even noticed anything was going on is the little cpu meter I have running at the bottom of my screen is going wild crazy.

hrmmm.. errant process taking most the CPU and 22MB of memory.. perhaps a kill is in order....

for all y'all CalIforNEEans, this is your friendly get-out-and-vote reminder.

Here are some interesting links to help:

general info about this ballot

update: the link for the prop54 text was a timed session, I'll try to find a better one for y'all.
further update: replaced my original links for the texts of 53 and 54 with more easier read (and functioning) links -- thanks ktbee!
