This is just sick!

So, I guess one benefit of being on so many bloody mailing lists is that I get to see all the happy fun junk mail floating around.

I get letters from people in small pacific islands asking for help in moving $2 billion out of their country.

I get offers for free software/radios/TVs/cars/you-name-it.

I am so special, I even get no less than 4 credit card offers each and every day!

In all that junk mail (praise be to all that is good and great for the miracle of filters!), nothing has ever prepared me for the simple sickness encapsulated in the email I got yesterday.

Every now and then I like to check the stats for my web page, just to see it there is anyone actually visiting it, and today I decided to check the "referring URL's" page for one of the more busy days.

Lo and behold, all those bytes came from someone posting one of my pictures as though it were theirs on some bulletin board somewhere!

crazy. I'm obviously going to have to do something about making my page more dynamic, perhaps with some random directory names or somesuch so that it is impossible for wankers like this twit to do this stuff. Though I must admit, it's pretty cool that someone liked my picture enough to show it to their friends. :)

http://www.omf.com/html/ubb/Forum1/HTML/005838.html is the URL of the board where it was posted. About half-way down you'll see a picture of 5 shriners (do a search in the page on "shriners" and his post is the first occurance) riding a bike. that's mine, not his. He even linked to it directly and not give any credit or anything.

Yes, I'm a sheep.

Actually, even though I don't particularly _like_ IM programs, I do appreciate them sometimes. So I go through these phases when I'll load it up and use it, then after a few months I'll delete it and go back into hiding for a while.

SO, anyway, I just finished installing trillian. Figured I'd try it out. I've got the ICQ and MSN parts turned on, as those were the ones I have accounts on. I may or may not enable the rest of it, as the mood strikes me.

I don't know why I'm posting this, just figured I would.
